Line marking and signs for BlueScope at Port Kembla

BlueScope has bought signs from us since 2018, and since 2022 it has booked us for line marking across the Port Kembla steelworks. Roads, rail crossings, walkways, warehouse floors and car parks, all done around a plant that keeps running. Here's some of that work.

Nine rail crossings in two days

Stop lines and STOP legends on each approach to nine rail level crossings, done over two days in 2026. Our crew did the site induction first and wore the full steelworks PPE. We supplied the traffic control on the roads, and no line went down until the rail hold was in place.

It started with seven crossings in 2024. Since then we've ground off worn markings and renewed them, and started at 6:30 on a Saturday morning when that was the slot the site had.

Walkways and coil lanes

In the coil storage areas: blue walkways with yellow edges, chevron zones, and 176 coil lane lines, each 24 metres long, sprayed in two colours. The coil numbers went down in high temperature paint, because coils come off at up to 400 degrees. Blowers and power brooms weren't allowed, so we hired a vacuum to clean the floor first.

Walkways renewed over three nights

About 20 walkways painted green with yellow edges, and about a dozen pedestrian crossings blacked out and replaced, inside a working plant over three night shifts.

And the everyday work

Car parks (178 car spaces in one job), road upgrades, wheel stops, traffic and safety signs, and 18 large area signs made to BlueScope's own specification.
