Line marking for Holcim concrete plants
We've been line marking Holcim concrete plants since 2019. Red exclusion zones, walkways and truck parking, done around agitators, loaders and a plant that has to be ready for Monday.
About 25 plants in five months
Between October 2024 and February 2025 we marked Holcim plants across Sydney, the South Coast, the Central West and the Hunter. At most of them: a red exclusion line with red arrows to keep people clear of the trucks, yellow or green walkways with walking person stencils, and white truck parking lines.

Red where the trucks are
At Thornleigh, a 40 metre red exclusion zone with 11 red arrows, added on the day. At Caringbah, a 75 metre red band in front of the truck parking out to the gate, ground back first and laid by hand in two coats.
Working around a live plant
Plants run on weekdays, so a lot of this work is done on Saturdays and Sundays, with the plant hosed and swept first. When the trucks were being washed and the concrete was soaked, we came back on a Saturday to finish the red line. Where a machine couldn't get in, we taped and rolled the lines by hand.
